CHEO psychiatrists are actively involved in research, under the leadership of Dr. Phillippe Robaey, Director of Psychiatry Research.

Advocacy

Advocacy on behalf of children and youth, as well as influencing public policy are becoming increasingly important if we are to improve the mental health of our cihldren and youth.

Notable advocates in our group include Dr. Simon Davidson, Chair of the Child/Youth Advisory Committee on the Mental Health Commission of Canada.

CHEO is also the proud home of the Provincial Centre of Excellence for Child and Youth Mental Health, a provincial organization that works primarily with mental health services providers

CHEO Psychiatry Associates Group

The CHEO Psychiatry Associates is the professional practice organization for the group of approximately 20 child psychiatrists at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario.

We work hard, but even more importantly, we have fun together and support each other with a sense of collegiality and cooperation not commonly found elsewhere.... as attested by many of our psychiatrists who have all worked at centres throughout Canada and elsewhere...

Recruitment

We are always interested in hearing from exceptional psychiatrists interested who may be interested in joining our group.
