Addictions

For Adults

The Substance Use and Concurrent Disorders Program at the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre offers services to individuals living with substance use disorders and mental illness or complex psychosocial consequences. The program provides intervention and treatment, as well as consultation and support for referring physicians or facilities. Clients may also be self-referred. A multi-disciplinary team provides services at several locations to clients and their family members. Services include inpatient and outpatient programs as well as a 30-day residential program.

For more information, contact the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre at 613-722-6521, or via the web at http://www.rohcg.on.ca.

For Youth

Although some services for children and youth with addictions may be provided through the psychiatrists in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Ottawa, most services are in fact provided by community agencies such as the Addiction and Problem Gambling Services of Ottawa, David Smith Centre, Rideauwood and others.
